Gidget CAN...
I can still walk with the help of a quad cane. I walk to Church and
to the local Mom and Pop grocery store. I carry along a cart with wheels where
I can place groceries into. I also can pick up pecans and use a special
nutcracker. I use them in cakes that I bake for new visitors who visit our Church. I
can still pick up trash from litter bugs who throw it out on my street and
around the country store. I can hold out better in using my computer since I
have made the rice sock, except I used a hot mitt and filled it with the rice
and sewed it closed. I sprinkle the mitt with water before putting in
microwave. It lasts a long time at this computer desk where I lay my wrist on and
use a tracker ball mouse...much easier for the hands. I can't kneel at the
alter at Church but I CAN bend at the side railing and keep several decorative
pillows at the Church for many of us to use.
To sum it all: I am very thankful for the things that I CAN do.
