I am taking lamactil and have taken trileptal. I have pain in my left knee, left elbow, and left shoulder. I have never had a broken bone or dislocation in either joints. I am only 29 years old, and am sure not to have one the more common forms of arthritis. I have pain only on one side (reuhmatic both sides), and I don't have psoriasis. The pain doesn't ache when I am lying down, just when I try and do some exercise.

Funny thing is that I have had the same thing -- for no apparent reason, my left knee and elbow, and a bit in my shoulder -- have recently started to ache.  I can't figure out what might be causing this or why it is limited to one side of my body.  I have googled this condition have noticed other posts from people who have similarly complained of pain on only one side of their body. 

An ideas on cause or solution?

I Have all the problems u mentioned on the right side.  acc to doctors I have ra.  I have negative ra factor

I have left side joint pain it started almost a year ago in my knee with pain and swelling, that went away and I awoke with pain in my left shoulder and unable to move my left arm, that went away and my left foot swelled and I couldn't walk on it, that went away and it is back in my knee only much worst and more swelling. I was taking Lipator and the doctor took me off that thing it may be the problem but that was a month ago and my knee started 2 weeks ago. And both my elbows always hurt. This A.M. I could hardly move my arms and left leg. I can't find any cause for this the doctors have given my blood but nothing yet.
