At some point in time, all of us will have a urinalysis. A simple examination of your urine can show many things.

| WBC | White Blood Cells | negative | Measures the number of white blood cells present in the urine. |
Presence of wbc's in urine usually indicates an infection. |
| Nitrites | Nitrites | negative | Measurement of the amount
of nitrites in the urine. |
Presence in urine usually indicates an infection. |
| Glucose | Glucose | negative | Detects glucose in the urine. | The body usually spills glucose into the urine when Serum Glucose is over 180. Presence may indicate diabetes. |
| Urobilinogen | Urobilinogen | negative | Detection test.

Positive results may indicate liver disease. |
| RBC | Red Blood Cells | negative | Detects the number of RBC's present in the urine. |
May indicate bleeding
somewhere along the urinary tract or infection. Can be caused by menstruation. Is more urgent when found in men. |
| Ketones | Ketones | negative | Measurement of the amount of ketones present in the urine. |
Presence of ketones may indicate diabetes or eating disorder. |
| Protein | Protein | negative | Detects protein in the urine. | Presence of protein in
the urine may be caused by kidney disease, or diabetes |
